Carols by Candlelight

Carols by Candlelight | Saturday 17th December

We are really looking forward to “Carols by Candlelight” which will be held in the Dun Laoghaire Methodist Church on Northumberland Ave, at 7.30pm on Saturday 17th December.

The evening will comprise a mix of seasonal songs, carols, and readings. It will be followed by a seasonal reception in the church hall.

We would especially encourage our long-standing members and friends to join us, and meet our current members. This has been such a wonderful Society for so many people, and we would like to mark this at this event.

We can also jointly celebrate our recent competition win at the International North Wales Choral Festival in Llandudno!

More details on the Festival are at www.northwaleschoralfestival.com.  Our rehearsals for the Choral Festival commence on Tuesday 13th September and we will have a new members introductory night on Tuesday 6th September.   If you are interested to join us, please email info@dmds.ie.

This was the 10th win for DMDS in the past 12 years. The ‘Frank Cullinane’ Trophy was presented to Nicola Graham, chairperson, on Sunday by AIMS which represents 130 societies, involving about 14,000 people.  The DMDS chorus, directed by Des Cox, performed ‘Bridge over Troubled Water’ and ‘The Ballad of Sweeney Todd’.
