DMDS Race Night

As you are aware,  DMDS shows do not happen by magic and fund-raising is vital for the €25k that we will need to put on ‘Drowsy Chaperone’. This is in addition to what we expect to raise from seat-sales.

One of our fund-raising initiatives this year is a Race Night. This has been successful for us in the past, and with your help we can make it successful this year again.  You can help in 2 ways:

  • You can ‘invest’ in a horse (or two?)  in one of the races at a cost of €10.  If your horse wins,  the prizes are wine and chocolates,  and the winners will also be put in a draw for one of 3 Kindles. More details are attached.
  • You can come along to the Race night on 2nd March in Fitzgerald’s in Sandycove.  The races are shown on a screen and you can place bets and also enjoy the company.

If you would like to make a bet on a horse, just tell me which horse(s) you would like to bet on, or just say how much you would like to contribute and I will pick them for you (no guarantees !). A fuller explanation of all of this is available on request.

Your contributions will be very welcome and vital for the success of the show.
